Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Pirates vs. Arrowhead Warhawks
Pewaukee entered their match against Arrowhead on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates came up short against the Warhawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-14.
Kennedy Tisdale paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up nine kills. Tisdale got some help from Hannah Padilla and her 14 assists.
Leading Arrowhead to victory were Siena MacCudden and Georgia House. MacCudden had 23 digs and six assists, while House had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most assists MacCudden has posted over her last 17 contests. Maggie Strickland also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Pewaukee suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 20-10. As for Arrowhead, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, Pewaukee and Arrowhead will both be playing Kettle Moraine the next time they take the court. The Warhawks will head out to face the Lasers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th.
