Basketball Recap: Northside Christian Starts Season with Victory Against IMG Academy Gray

Northside Christian took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 66-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Northside Christian can attribute much of their success to Isaac Jacobs, who shot 67% from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of IAN ALLEN, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points.

Northside Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Looking ahead, Northside Christian will square off against St. Petersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for IMG Academy Gray, they are taking a road trip to challenge Academy at the Lakes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
