Baseball Game Preview: Fort Zumwalt East Lions vs. St. Dominic Crusaders

The Fort Zumwalt East Lions will square off against the St. Dominic Crusaders at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Zumwalt East will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Fort Zumwalt East beat Warrenton 9-4.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when St. Dominic and Holt meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Crusaders skirted past the Indians 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Fort Zumwalt East pushed their record up to 24-12 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for St. Dominic, their win bumped their record up to 22-9-1.
