Basketball Recap: Point Loma Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Point Loma entered their tilt with High Tech CV on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the High Tech CV Bruins as they made off with a 72-48 win. The Pointers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Point Loma's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Na'Sean Hardy, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. That's the most points Hardy has posted since back in December of 2023. Jax Marple was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Point Loma smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

High Tech CV lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Uri Gomez, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Lazo, who posted eight points and six assists.

Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for High Tech CV, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Point Loma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-54 win against West Hills on the 27th. As for High Tech CV, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-54 victory against Santana on the 27th.
