Recap: Jackson Jaguars vs. Midtown Knights

The Jackson Jaguars waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 14 straight wins but they left with 15. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Midtown 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Jackson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shakira Gresham out in front who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Kennedie Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.

Jackson pushed their record up to 22-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Midtown, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-4.

Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Midtown also has no future games currently scheduled.
