Soccer Recap: South Whidbey Takes a Loss

South Whidbey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Bush Blazers, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, South Whidbey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Bush are ranked 46th).

South Whidbey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bush, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Whidbey will take on King's at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Bush, they will head out to challenge Bear Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bush will be up against Bear Creek's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.75 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
