Basketball Recap: Whetstone Comes Up Short

Whetstone lost against Centennial back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Whetstone Braves lost 79-55 to the Centennial Stars. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Stars are ranked 327th).

Whetstone dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Whetstone will look to defend their home court on February 7th against East at 7:00 p.m. As for Centennial, they will take on Linden-McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
