Morton had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. They walked away with a 48-38 victory over the Quitman Panthers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 48-47 victory back in January.

Despite the defeat, Quitman saw an underclassman step up: sophomore JAHYLA DUBOSE went 8 for 15 on her way to 21 points and six rebounds. That was a full 55.3% of Quitman's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was AIYANNA DEAR, who put up ten points.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Quitman, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
