Soccer Game Preview: McDowell vs. St. Stephens + How To Watch

McDowell is 1-7 against St. Stephens since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Titans will welcome the Indians at 6:30 p.m.

McDowell fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Alexander Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, McDowell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Alexander Central are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Stephens). Their defense stepped up to hand Freedom a 3-0 shutout on Monday.

St. Stephens' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10-1. As for McDowell, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-3.
