Softball Recap: Kearsley Hornets vs. Linden Eagles

Kearsley had lost five straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-6 to make it six. They lost 12-0 to the Linden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Thursday.

As for Linden, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Linden's part, they let Addi Siegwald (2027) and Morgan Piotrovsky (2025) run wild. Siegwald (2027) went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Piotrovsky (2025) went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Helm (2025), who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kearsley is set to challenge their familiar foe Holly at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
