Soccer Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison lost against John Marshall back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 5-1 to the Monarchs. While losing is never fun, Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 516th in Ohio, while John Marshall are ranked 63rd in West Virginia).

Edison's goal came courtesy of Alison Kireta, who's now up to five this season.

Edison is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-1. As for John Marshall, they moved to 4-11 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will face off against Sandy Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for John Marshall, they will take on Parkersburg South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
