Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

If Evergreen was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hicksville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Archbold Blue Streaks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Blue Streaks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-16.

Lanae Manz paced Evergreen's offense, picking up 17 kills. Manz got some help from Lissa Roesti and her 26 assists. Manz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Archbold, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Evergreen will venture away from home to square off against Bowsher at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Archbold, they will welcome Kalida at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
