Volleyball Recap: Mccallum Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

McCallum suffered their biggest defeat since August 26th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Anderson Trojans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While McCallum ultimately came up short, they really made Anderson work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 25-20.

McCallum's offense was headlined by Lexi Rosenblatt and Kafia Jackson-Woods, who picked up eight kills apiece. Rosenblatt really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. Aaniya Thorton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

McCallum's loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 25-11. As for Anderson, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

McCallum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Cedar Creek on the 17th. As for Anderson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Richards School for Young Women Leaders on the 17th.
