Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Comes Up Short

Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 70-7 loss at the hands of the Daphne Trojans. The Golden Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-5.

Abagail Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Daphne, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Moten, who posted nine points and four steals.

Robertsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Daphne, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will challenge St. Luke's Episcopal at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Daphne, they will face off against Fairhope at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th.
