Basketball Recap: Mark Cadena Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Victor Valley

King saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Victor Valley Jackrabbits with a sharp 68-47 win.

King's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mark Cadena led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ajayi, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 19 points.

Victor Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was NICHOLAS CRAFT, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was DEANGELO DYER, who went 5-for-11 en route to 11 points.

The victory got King back to even at 1-1. As for Victor Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-49 win against Troy on the 19th. As for Victor Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-16 victory against Maywood Academy on the 19th.
