Volleyball Recap: Science Hill Victorious

Science Hill proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Dobyns-Bennett Indians 3-2. The Hilltoppers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Science Hill got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13.

Isa Dau was nothing short of spectacular: she had 20 digs and three aces. Dau is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Dau wasn't the only good server: Science Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Science Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Science Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe West Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dobyns-Bennett will take on rival Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
