Volleyball Recap: Jackson Memorial Triumphs

Jackson Memorial lost to Bloomfield back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Jaguars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bengals.

While Jackson Memorial won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25.

Daniel Barry paced Jackson Memorial's offense, picking up 16 kills. Barry got some help from Reyhan Talib and his 27 assists. Finally, Samir Talib kept Jackson Memorial's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Jackson Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Bloomfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Jackson Memorial has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Manchester Township on the 12th. As for Bloomfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against West Caldwell Tech on the 14th.
