Softball Recap: Colerain Takes a Loss

Colerain lost against Oak Hills on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cardinals lost 19-2 to the Highlanders. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colerain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Hartwig, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Colerain's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Oak Hills, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colerain will square off against Lakota West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Firebirds have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hills, they will take on Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Highlanders are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
