Marist lost to Westminster back in August of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The War Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats. The game was the first time the War Eagles have beaten the Wildcats on their court since August 15, 2019.

Marist easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophia Alston, who had 18 assists and five digs.

Marist is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Westminster, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Marist has already played their next game (against Pelham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westminster, they will take on Union Grove in a tournament on Saturday.
