2A District 3 recap Oct. 16, 2012
Warner Christian moved up to 144 from 212 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 3. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of topping Crystal River 21-7.
Florida Air Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 65 points on St. John Lutheran.
St. Edward's's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Carson Proctor threw for 83 and two touchdowns and Bobby Barker had 39 yards receiving. On the ground Daryl Norwood chipped in 103 yards. Brock Miller helped St. Edward's' passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Father Lopez's Joe Boden and Isadore Wood have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Boden has thrown for 710 yards this season, while Wood has 13 catches for 204 yards. The Saints' Quandre Woods leads the league in rushing yards with 763.
A big matchup in 2A District 3 this week will be when Trinity Christian Academy takes on the Falcons. As it stands, the Eagles are in second, while Florida Air Academy is in third.
