Baseball Recap: Basic Wolves vs. Arvada West Wildcats

Basic saw some tournament action on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Arvada West Wildcats.

Lincoln Evans tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Basic's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Andruw Giles and Matthew Kelley did most of the damage at the plate: Giles went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double, while Kelley went 2-for-4 with one home run.
