It's playoff time, and Batesville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Greensburg Pirates 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Pirates back in April, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Batesville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Greensburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-8 record.

As of now, neither Batesville nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
