Basketball Game Preview: Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs vs. Fort Bend Clements Rangers

Fort Bend Austin is 1-9 against Fort Bend Clements since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Fort Bend Clements Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Fort Bend Austin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Fort Bend Austin will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Fort Bend Elkins, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Fort Bend Austin strolled past Fort Bend Elkins with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-36. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Knights are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Clements was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Bend Dulles on Saturday, taking the game 66-54.

Fort Bend Clements' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Fort Bend Austin, their record is now 17-9.

Fort Bend Austin took their win against Fort Bend Clements in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 67-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Bend Austin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
