Basketball Game Preview: Fulton Steamers vs. Oregon Hawks

The Fulton Steamers will face off against the Oregon Hawks at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Fulton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 58 points on Saturday, they were much more limited against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] on Saturday. They lost to the Spartans on the road by a 40-23 margin. The Steamers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Oregon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-29 loss at the hands of Newman Central Catholic.

Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Oregon, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Fulton couldn't quite finish off Oregon in their previous meeting back in November of 2019 and fell 49-46. Thankfully for Fulton, John Bothe (who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
