Volleyball Recap: San Marino Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Cynthia Kackstetter and Ariminty Yu + How To Watch

San Marino lost against Bishop Amat back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers.

While San Marino had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18.

Ariminty Yu and Cynthia Kackstetter certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Yu had 45 digs and three aces, while Kackstetter had nine digs, three aces, and one block. Yu is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season.

Bishop Amat's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allyson Lo, who had 38 assists and 11 digs. Lauren Meza was another key player, getting 16 digs.

San Marino's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3-1. As for Bishop Amat, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

San Marino has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Eagle Rock on the 20th. As for Bishop Amat, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Marshall on the 20th.
