SEED DC's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Terry Hutchinson led the charge by shooting 42% from the field on his way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Those 27 points gave Hutchinson a new career-high. Lorenzo McCallop was another key player, going 7-for-11 en route to 18 points along with five assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Richard Wright Public Charter School played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Ron Brown, falling 76-21. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-12.

Everything came up roses for SEED DC against Richard Wright Public Charter School when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 80-16 victory.
