Baseball Recap: Mason Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DeWitt, Mason was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Lowell Red Arrows get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Colton McCaleb was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Mason's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Lowell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.

Mason wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-2 defeat against Mattawan on the 9th. As for Lowell, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against Sparta on the 11th.
