William Penn faced Newark Charter School in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Colonials put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Colonials have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for William Penn, bringing their record up to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Newark Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, William Penn will face off against York Suburban at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark Charter School, they will square off against Archmere Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
