Soccer Recap: Spotswood Comes Up Short

Spotswood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rocktown Raptors. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Spotswood couldn't quite close it out.

Spotswood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Rocktown, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1-1.

Coincidentally, Spotswood and Rocktown will both be playing Harrisonburg the next time they take the pitch. The Raptors will head out to face the Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Trailblazers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
