It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maysville can now relate to. They fell 49-40 to the Buffalo Valley Buffaloes on Thursday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Buffalo Valley was led to victory by Tristyn Kirkes and Katie Kennedy. Kirkes shot 50% from the field on her way to 22 points, while Kennedy posted 14 points. Kirkes is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games she's played. Raelea Johnson was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Maysville's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Buffalo Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
