Preview: Eupora Eagles vs. J.Z. George Jaguars
Eupora is on a three-game streak of home losses, J.Z. George an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Eupora Eagles will take on the J.Z. George Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Eupora came up short against Union and fell 45-34. While losing is never fun, Eupora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Union is ranked 100th).
Meanwhile, J.Z. George ended up a good deal behind Philadelphia on Tuesday and lost 69-50.
Eupora has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for J.Z. George, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Eupora didn't have too much breathing room in their game against J.Z. George when the teams last played on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win. Does Eupora have another victory up their sleeve, or will J.Z. George turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
