Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Takes a Loss

Marshfield's tournament run continued when they took on Milton on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Red Hawks. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Abigail Cera paced Marshfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Cera got some help from Paige Schlagenhaft and her 13 assists.

Leading Milton to victory were Elise Wieters and Kelsey Gill. Wieters had seven assists and six digs, while Gill had seven digs and three assists. That's the most assists Wieters has posted over her last 13 matches.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Milton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Marshfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hortonville on the 27th. As for Milton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Chilton on the 27th.
