Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bernie). They blew past the Malden Green Wave 85-42 on Friday. Given the Mules' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Green Wave are ranked 501st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bernie pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Malden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bernie will square off against Delta at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Malden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
