Basketball Game Preview: Chelsea Hornets vs. Helena Huskies

The Chelsea Hornets will square off against the Helena Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chelsea is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Chelsea was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to East Limestone. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Indians are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Helena, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Tuscaloosa County with a sharp 52-30 victory on Monday. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Helena, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Chelsea ended up a good deal behind Helena when the teams last played back in January, losing 54-38. Can Chelsea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
