Basketball Game Preview: Zavalla Eagles vs. Wells Pirates

The Zavalla Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Wells Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Zavalla has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Wells will come in with seven straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Zavalla was beaten by Kennard 80-45.

Broaddus typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Wells proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 61-49.

Wells pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Zavalla, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Zavalla lost to Wells on the road by a decisive 60-42 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Zavalla avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
