Basketball Recap: Davidson Day Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Davidson Day's tournament run continued when they took on Ravenscroft on Monday. The Davidson Day Patriots managed a 63-57 win over the Ravenscroft Ravens. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Ravens are ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davidson Day has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Ravenscroft, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Davidson Day will face off against High Point Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. High Point Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Davidson Day surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ravenscroft, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Charlotte Christian at 7:00 p.m.
