Basketball Recap: Chevak Wins High-Profile Match Against Emmonak

On Thursday, Chevak faced Emmonak in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Chevak Comets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 win over the Emmonak Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chevak is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Emmonak, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-1 record.

Chevak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emmonak, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Russian Mission on February 26th.
