Football Game Preview: Vincent Yellow Jackets vs. Isabella Mustangs + How To Watch

The Vincent Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to take on the Isabella Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Isabella took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Vincent, who comes in off a win.

Vincent's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to Aliceville for the full four quarters, racking up a 27-0 win. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vincent to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Roberts, who rushed for 171 yards and one score while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Roberts is now averaging an impressive 102.7 rushing yards per game. Landon Archer was another key player, rushing for 31 yards and one TD.

Vincent didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jay Posey and Cayden Carroll.

Meanwhile, Isabella scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Greene County by a score of 38-36. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (35), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Vincent's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.7 points on average over those games. As for Isabella, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Vincent beat Isabella 49-41 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
