Volleyball Recap: Hilmar Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hilmar can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sutter Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Hilmar actually scored more points across those five sets (106-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-21, 15-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Emily Barroso paced Hilmar's offense, picking up 13 kills. Barroso got some help from Stella Pires and her 42 assists. Pires and Barroso didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with five apiece.

Eden Bryan was a one-woman wrecking crew For Sutter. as she had 20 digs and two aces. Bryan has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Hilmar's defeat dropped their record down to 22-16. As for Sutter, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 26-8.

Hilmar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sutter, they will square off against Bear River at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
