Even though the Imagine School at North Port Sharks have not done well against the Lemon Bay Manta Rays recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Imagine School at North Port came out on top against Lemon Bay by a score of 92-80. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Imagine School at North Port's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angelo Blas led the charge by dropping a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zahmir Jackson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Imagine School at North Port and bumps their season record up to 8-12. As for Lemon Bay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Imagine School at North Port will be playing at home against Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lemon Bay will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Cape Coral at 7:40 p.m. on January 20th. One thing working in Cape Coral's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
