Climax Springs has no trouble against Golden City

Recap: Climax Springs Cougars vs. Golden City Eagles

The Climax Springs Cougars's three-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Golden City 67-46. The win was just what Climax Springs needed coming off of a 61-36 defeat in their prior game.

Despite the loss, Golden City saw an underclassman step up: Spencer Parrill scored 19 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Menadue, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

Golden City struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.

The win got Climax Springs back to even at 1-1. As for Golden City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax Springs will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fair Play at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Golden City, they will head out on the road to face off against Rich Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
