Volleyball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy entered their match against Delaware Valley Classical on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The LIONS fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The LIONS were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Calvary Christian Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 15-5.

Kate Malinky (HS) paced Calvary Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Malinky (HS) really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. Finally, Marsaia Parker-Cason kept Calvary Christian Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Delaware Valley Classical, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Calvary Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Holly Grove Christian on the 30th. As for Delaware Valley Classical, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Avon Grove Charter on the 2nd.
