Basketball Recap: West Phoenix Comes Up Short

West Phoenix lost against Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Phoenix Eagles were dealt a 102-46 defeat at the hands of Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way are ranked 15th).

Despite the loss, West Phoenix still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Brown, who posted 29 points. Brown's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

West Phoenix is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9. As for Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

West Phoenix has already played their next match, a 61-59 loss against Pan-American on the 16th. Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way has also already played their next game (against Eduprize), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
