The Palm Beach Central Broncos will challenge the Palm Beach Lakes Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Palm Beach Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 48-20 win over Palm Beach Gardens. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 21, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Chance Routson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 48 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. His longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards. Palm Beach Central also got help from Jayden St. Fort, who showed off his sure hands for 96 receiving yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Palm Beach Central proved: they limited Palm Beach Gardens to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Antoine Sharp for the heroic effort on defense: he. Palm Beach Central's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.77 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.4 on average over their last five games.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Palm Beach Central, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Travis Jackson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Lakes hadn't done well against Dwyer recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rams never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rams have posted against the Panthers since October 17, 2019.
A big part of Palm Beach Lakes' victory came down to the chemistry between Julian Ayala (*) and his top target Ryan Ferdinand. Ayala (*) threw for 199 yards and a pair of TDs while Ferdinand picked up 102 receiving yards and two scores. Ferdinand's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 receiving yards.
Palm Beach Lakes' defense made their presence known, laying out Robert Green III four times. Bradley Rosier was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Another thorn in Dwyer's side was Dameicko Gordon, who made 14 total tackles and snagged an interception which he returned for a touchdown.
Palm Beach Lakes has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games. As for Palm Beach Central, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
