Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Arroyo's Fourth in Last Five Outings

While Arroyo didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Redwood Christian Eagles by a score of 59-52 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Dons, who suffered a 65-64 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Redwood Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nehemiah Mitchell, who posted 17 points. The match was Mitchell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Nicholas Bansraj was another key player, putting up six points.

Arroyo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Redwood Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.

Arroyo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lick-Wilmerding at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Redwood Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-10 victory against Fremont Christian on the 18th.
