Softball Recap: Mills' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Mills dropped their record down to 21-4-1 on Saturday, which also ended the team's 11-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Saratoga Falcons by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jazzy Maske made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Saratoga, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

On Saratoga's side, Saira Ramakrishnan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. Ramakrishnan has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alyssa Tham was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sydney Riera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases.

As of now, neither Mills nor Saratoga have any future games scheduled.
