Softball Recap: Parkersburg Takes a Loss

If Parkersburg was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Capital on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Reds took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkersburg South Patriots on Thursday. The Big Reds haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Parkersburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Parkersburg South, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

While Parkersburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
