Baseball Recap: Southern Aroostook Takes a Loss

After soaring to 22 runs the game before, Southern Aroostook was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against Fort Kent, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for Southern Aroostook in their meetings with Fort Kent: they've now lost five in a row.

Jakoby Porter and Daniel Kuindersma did some serious damage despite the final result: Porter went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Kuindersma went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dikki Chambers, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Southern Aroostook's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fort Kent, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
