Baseball Recap: Elkhorn Wins Going Away Against Lincoln Northwest

Elkhorn barely beat Lincoln Northwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Antlers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 9-0 win on Monday. The Antlers have beaten the Falcons the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Beau Twohig looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Elkhorn is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-11 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elliot Beister, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Caiden Severson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Elkhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Elkhorn's record now sits at 8-11. As for Lincoln Northwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
