Baseball Recap: Platte Canyon Comes Up Short

Platte Canyon lost against Dawson School back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies lost 22-2 to the Mustangs. The loss leaves the Huskies still looking for their first win of the season.

Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dawson School, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platte Canyon will venture away from home to square off against Arvada at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Dawson School, they will head out to face off against Kent Denver at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Sun Devils will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
